Christopher Reeve was born 25 September 1952. His name was trending on social media Saturday as fans paid their respects to the actor who died in 2004 at the age of 52. Google also honored Reeve with a homepage Doodle.

Reeve was best-known for his role as Superman, the Man of Steele, but he became a vocal advocate for spinal cord injuries after being paralyzed in an equestrian accident in 1995.
